We only have,

Distin
Jags
heitinga

As recognised central defenders, or the youth lads.

Maybe this will prevent Davy from playing Neville CM, and encourage him to put Johnny there instead.

It's about the wage bill as well though, Yobo leaving is a must if we're to bring in a loanee.

I'd certainly prefer to keep him than sending him back out on loan.

Why ?

I've nothing against him, he's done great service for us, but we don't need him now, we've got a bit of cover, and he doesn't really want to stay. Surely if we can't sell him then loaning him out is the best solution for all concerned. He's a national captain, there must be some European clubs willing to meet his wages.

With a matter of days left in the transfer window, if we're not going to sell him, loaning him out only to then try and get someone else in on a loan as cover doesn't really make that much sense to me. If all our centre backs stay injury free and someone wants to pay his wages in full, then yeah why not. Just don't see both of those things happening all season

Plus if and when we get him back in a years time, his value will have again dropped. He may even be out of contract next summer for all I know

Having Yobo back in and involved makes it even lass likely that Heitinga will get the CB role.

Great.

That and his ridiculously high wage.

Humph.

why loan him and bring in someone else he is still a good player Jags has cost Everton two goals already this
season maybe he is going to Arsenal and that mean yobo will stay
