I think people are confusing this guy with Yoann Gourcuff.

Either way, no thanks.

We need goal scoring wide men capable of 10 a season. He ain't it.

Anthony Modeste, the guy they loaned to Blackburn last season, was their top scorer in the 2010/11 season. Seems it's their thing.

Bit odd isn't it? But suppose Modeste was a little bit different;

Modeste's following season at Bordeaux wasn't quite as successful. In the 2011–12 season, he made 15 appearances for the club, scoring only 3 goals. On 19 January 2012 Modeste joined Blackburn Rovers on loan for the rest of the 2011-12 Premier League season but with the French employers insiting there would be no option to buy at the end of the loan period

He's saying he's been there 4 years so it's time to move, maybe abroad, so not a loan. Then I think it says Villa, Sland and Everton could be interested. Either his agent's trying to get him a raise or the journo's taking a guess.

What's french for jarg?

a) the article clearly states it's Yoan Gouffran.
b) Yoan Gouffran scored 14 goals last season for Bordeaux, and he is capable of playing out wide.

You've not read anything in this thread have you?

The season before that they sold Chamakh to Arsenal, another top scorer. It is odd.

It's definitely a little bit different for Modeste but the point is it's not unlike them to go through with this sort of thing.

Brian Swanson on SSN saying were linked with this lad? Well that come out of the blue didn't it.

I'm actually not surprised. Dan received a tip about it a month or so ago, then everything went quiet.

I wondered at the time why he put it on the main page so I asked him. Good shout from whoever GOTs source is these days.
