Head and shoulders above Keane in all departments.
Some fella posted about Keane doing some random jump for no reason when Leicester equalised last week.
Last night when a ball was whipped in, Mina grabbed his opponent by the shirt and pulled him in, so he knew exactly where he was, not allowing an easy attack on the ball.

I managed to be absolutely made up he was selected but yet simultaneously furious that the manager had bowed to pressure from us to pick him or rather that it had taken that pressure for it to happen , if that makes any sense .

Never really any debate that when fit he’s the best centre half at the club and it
It felt a lot safer with him there .
There was a simple diagonal aimed over his head in the first half, he tracked it and got his body right then headed it clear. Was really simple defending but after the last few weeks was a mighty relief to see.

Plenty of valid points for and against this lad getting a new contract. He showed yesterday what a beast of a defender he is though. Even beating his chest after making a clearance... you can see the commitment.

However, the injury record speaks for itself and he is the clubs highest paid player.

Given his quality, I'd keep him but it would be on half the wages he's on now (purely because his record shows he can only play half a season). He could probably be offered more elsewhere.

Love how mean and tough he is though, proper brick sh!thouse centre back.

It's Iwobi all over again in this thread. Plays a few good games at the back end of last season and the shouts go up for a new contract.

With Mina, it took one game.

This is why Everton is in the situation it is in. Sentiment and lack of self-esteem. He's cheating on you, but he's a great kisser and one peck on the cheek is enough to have you swooning.

Yeah but when you have to go home to your missus and it's Michael Keane, you'll do anything for another peck.

It's not, everyone who has rightly praised him has added the caveat about his fitness. Performance has never been an issue for Mina

Although he clearly does have issues keeping fit, there's a lot of shouts of "if he can stay fit for the last few games" he's been fit all year, dyche just picked his mate Keane.

Not unnoticed that Mina marshals the defences like a orchestral conductor. Even kept Iwobi focused on defensive duty which kept Patterson in the positives. Myself think Mina is just as important as Dom back. Not going to harp on obvious negative just great to have him back.
