Yeah, in the sense that they can only play so many of them, but I assume he can stay on their payroll, otherwise they’d have to sell him before they bought non EU players.

My point was just that I don’t think the earlier closing of the window changes our bargaining position, Barcelona want to sell him and the more clubs they have to sell to the better for them, but ultimately they’re not exactly desperate for money, so whenever the window closed, if they didn’t get an offer they were happy with they could just hang fire.
