Who says we aren’t.
I think we are giving Mina as long as we feel necessary to get our man and if it fails other deals are already being discussed if he doesn’t come.
I imagine this is the same for all clubs they will sound out there targets and make negotiations in case there main target is unavailable.

I’d take Lascelles too....Premiership experience, vocal and reasonably pacy.

I don’t know enough about Mina other than the World Cup. I do know that at £65M-ish Leicester should snatch Jose’s hands off. The lad had a decent World Cup in a side that beat three mediocre teams and lost against two decent teams ( one of them twice). McGuire has a mistake in him for sure. I’d say he was a £20M -25M player at most. There aren’t many centre backs playing in England who are worth south of £30M in reality.

It's exactly that and Newcastle have already turned 35 mil ( alleged ) from der Hammers.

He's out of our price range.

Would take them both in a heartbeat. Lascelles even well less likely than Mina though. Hinteregger on the other hand, he could be a real contingency plan (and he can pass a ball).

If the fella is coming to us he'd have made his mind up by now!.He is obviously trying to get a move to a "big" club on high wages thus negating his claim of just wanting to play to get more minutes on the pitch!.Personally I would go for Upemecano.He's big,strong,and uncompromising,and doesn't take any prisoners.Just what we need right now and at a more reasonable price. Thats the minimum requirement needed as long as the left back slot is secured!
Still need a striker for me like Tosun is not getting us more than 8-10 goals
