There may be 'plenty of centre backs out there' but clearly this centre back most clearly matched the requirements of Silva as relayed to Brands. We , on the other hand ,do not know which other available CB most closely approximates to those requirements if any.

If this happens, it will happen on deadline day and only because we are the only club left that want him.

So, it then comes down to the lad's attitude and character. If he is still happy to come then fine. But otherwise, lets drop our interest right now. I am sure Brands has done his homework on his character.

No way Brands is going to leave it till the deadline day and wait for him. I guess we will sign some CB soon. If he is willing to wait for his dream club and eventually that club is not making a move he better stays in the Beca reserve.

theres a report saying utd have asked mina to wait, they are seeing if they can get meguire and if not mina is option b

Reason he want to leave barca is for first team football. Smarter move for him is to us and then he can get experience game time etc. Will he get that at utd? I agree and think we will make moves soon if yerry is stalling

Leicester didnt sell Mahrez to City for nearly 2 years. And still got their asking price. Doubt they will cave in on Maguire, unless the player gets arsey. But he doesnt seem the type.

He said he wants first team footie and less pressure. Everton is the prefect fit for him at the moment but this dragging on deal is beyond endurance. Better move onto other target.

Why cant we go after other targets while still keeping the door open for a Mina move?
