just wondering what your reaction to the signing of Gueye was, or Williams or Deulofeu when he first came ?

There is a reason RK is being paid vast sums of money to manage Everton football club.
Everybody is entitled to their opinion and managers do get it wrong sometimes.
But, they get it right more than wrong and good managers get it right more than anybody.

Why have we shelled out for a DOF then ?

I'm continually amazed that Arsenal don't go for Lukaku. He'd be a perfect fit for them, and I think he'd do really well there.

Wonder if they might bid for him on deadline day if things aren't going their way by then?

He would hit 35 a year playing for Arsenal. He would also break down 35 moves per game with his ropey first touch.

Shrewd signings here. We've been banging on for the last two seasons that we need a left winger. We've got nobody other than Kev.

The past two seasons we've had Barkley, Cleverley & Kone playing left wing because Martinez didn't like Mirallas.

Now we genuinely have two left wingers that can cause opponents problems.

That's an improvement in my eyes.

I think the DoF is a longer term appointment.
I think most of the signings this summer will be of Koemans choosing as he needs to get his team together in a short time for the new season.
