Lets not jump the gun here, pretty much all of that is the way they worded that, the only thing he's quoted with is:

“I was very close to joining Spurs before the injury put paid to the transfer,”

No mention of regrets there.

Yeah, the move could have been Evertons idea, might not have been Yak wanting to leave.
However I do think he has done his bit for the club and if we do get a decent offer for him we should clap the lad out.

Im actually finding it hard to believe that article. The Yak has stated several times since coming back from injury how he wants to repay the fans and that he's looking forward to next season.

Who are MTNFootball.com exactly??

Even still, how does that "quote" supposedly represent the fact he "regrets" not leaving Everton?

Where is the full interview??

I did notice one "Everton" website full of blerts was the first to be putting this on their snide site.

The company MTN - are the equivalent of the now defunct "Freeserve" or "Wannado" or something.

This "quote" looks very dubious to me in terms of context etc.

I'm not buying into the implication. Yes it might of been a possible transfer but why is it being brought up now?

[Poor language removed] stirring going on somewhere.....

Maybe his agent is trying to stir up some interest indirectly and getting him a move this year after the WC.

They're obviously feeding off of the report in 2008 that Spurs were supposedly interested in signing him, to which Moyes told them to [Poor language removed] off.

Wouldn't be suprised if this was bs.

EDIT Also, lol Danny, you seemed to have sparked a flurry of angry rants and racial slurs on Facebook.

And when he smiles he makes the sun shine....

I am 68% certain that this song was actually written about THE YAK. The lyrics touch me - and not in a Timmy Mallett kind of way.
