Yakubu has issued a warning to Everton's upcoming opponents.

He has vowed to keep improving and insists he feels confident of scoring whenever he takes to the field.

The Yak has scored six times in his last four games, notching the Carling Cup winner at West Ham most recently.

He exclusively told evertonTV: "I am getting better and better with every game I play.

"As a striker I always feel I am going to score. When you score you get confidence and you can smell more goals coming.

"At this moment I can feel that goals will come in every game I play."

The Nigerian's rich vein of goalscoring form has lead to Everton fans chanting: 'Feed the Yak and he will score'.

"When the fans are behind the team you want to give everything," said Yakubu.

"They pay money to watch you play and you don't want to let them down."

Everton face West Ham for the second time in four games on Saturday, and former Middlesbrough man Yakubu says the previous encounter counts for little.

"We have to take the games one at a time," he added. "We want to win again and head towards the top five or six."

shudnt this say, 2nd time in 4 days??

And I thought that was his big shaggy Yak coat, but it's the goals!!!

Now if only AJ could feed a little off the Yak's confidence, especially seeing as now the burden of being the only goalscorer has been taken off him.

For sure he is improving every game, but his fitness and sharpness is coming up to the level we want him to be at!

Let's made our life simple by feeding the Yak and more goals will come!

Absolutely spot on, Moyes is getting the best out of him although its taken months for him to be near to playing 90 mins(y) (y)

Yak's are known for their keen sense of smell.

Especially in the 6 yard box.

Which one? Bt, AJ, McF, DF. have I missed any?

I hold my hands up, like you Monty I was not sure when Moyes signed him but it is nice to have upfront a player that is essentially a goal scorer without the primadonna attitudes.

Unfortunately that type of attitude prevails across all levels of society these days Robert:( When we signed BT he was intended to play that role, is the Yak so much superior or was BT adjudged incorrectly at the outset, either way we are now scoring goals, and plenty off them
