Well, Ronaldo was, what, 20 at that time? Brahimi is 26 and should have matured by now. But of course, everyone is different and some are late bloomers so you never know. Mahrez is only one year younger than Brahimi and you could argue he only fully "matured" last season... So don't get me wrong, I'm somewhat excited by this potential signing, but it's not really a "young Ronaldo" situation...

Just shows how much things have changed at the club, that fans are underwhelmed at us potentially spending £35m on a player. Any other window and we wouldn't have cared who it was, if we thought we were going to be spending even a third of that on a player.

Welcome player I'd never heard of till the other week. I'm happy to trust Koeman and Walsh on this if it happens. If it doesn't happen then he's obviously rubbish.

Underwhelmed at spending £35m on a player who came from the French League for £5m 2 years ago and has then been moderate in a poor league.

A few top clubs have been linked to him in the recent past so maybe there is a clue there. If Koeman and Walsh think he is worth it then so be it and who are we to question there expertise or lack of it.
