Transfer Rumour Yacine Brahimi

51 million is his release clause which doesn't have to be met. We are negotiating probably between 25-35 million. Relax I'm sure Moshiri and company know that they are doing

The biggest problem in this deal is the lads third party ownership, whatever the fee is Porto only get to keep 50% of it, I read Porto would be willing to let him go for 40m euros, but were not willing to pay anywhere near that, as I say, because Porto only get to keep 50% of the transfer fee, I don't reckon they'll budge from their asking price, that's if we are actually looking at him in the first place like.

There are too many generalizations about "moaners" in this thread. Just because someone thinks that Brahimi is an overrated player and isn't worth £35-£40 million doesn't mean they're wrong. I personally don't know a lot about the guy but there are many dissenting opinions on him so it's completely valid to question if he's worth it. After all, Everton don't have unlimited money and still have to spend wisely.

Absolutely. It cracks me up is how sanctimonious people are here. It's a message board meant to allow people to express their opinion. But you are either pro whatever the club does or you are a "bedwetter" or less of a fan because you don't agree with the professional scouts think.

If he has a release clause of 51mil why are they happy to let him go for around 35?

It looks like they put that release clause in there after he took the league by storm in his first year. Porto wanted to make sure they got paid if Brahimi started angling toward a move. However, he has never quite regained the consistent form he had before the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations and so isn't currently worth the release clause value.

There is no way this lad will be playing at Goodison this season or any other, just in case you had forgot we are skint. And until we start signing players early in a transfer window without selling first, i will never believe we have money..
