Transfer Rumour Yacine Brahimi

Personally would have sold stones today

Soon as we sold stones everyone knows they can rinse us because we've got the sky money too

Plus banding about how much we have to spend 100m doesn't help either

Funny how Leicester managed to do a deal for the sporting player who we wanted
Or not sold Stones at all. If keeping an unhappy player meant we signed the targets we wanted then I would have done that

Basicly we brought in new players when we got the Stones money... after they where spend we had money left for a loan deal for a west ham squad player. Leicester got their new player because they had money to spend and probably because he wants to play champions league football

I wouldn't have sold him if I knew we weren't going to replace him

For me Williams was the defender we needed, once stones went we still needed one more. He should have been kept until a replacement was found but I'm so convinced he was sold to pay for transfers. I genuinely think the money promised to Koeman this summer was not forthcoming

So all last season we had one centre half too few so we sell one and sign one. Way to go Everton.

As for Brahimi did anyone expect us to do a deal like that?

He will probably only play in the group stages. Leicester won't be in the C/L for long.

I'd love to know the full story here, apparently Porto behaved like [Poor language removed], agree a fee, then rejecting it and wanting more, Brahimi is livid they stopped him from moving, he was sold on the idea and wanted to try the Premiership.

It's ok saying it's amateur hour on our part, but Porto have history for doing stuff like this, especially when the player has more than one party owning them.

There comes a time when you just have to refuse them upping the asking price and tell them to feck off.

We probably should have known it might be an issue. The complexity of a transfer that involves a club like Porto and third party should mean that, if he was a priority target and we had genuine interest, a lot of the work should have been done far earlier in the window.

I don't actually think it's the case, but this is exactly the same way the non-stories of transfers would play out during the Moyes/Kenwright era.
