Transfer Rumour Yacine Brahimi

The numbers are plainly different but the scenario's much the same as when we signed Funes Mori.

Aye. Glad we just paid the extra then and I hope we do now.

NEA. Everyone gets hoodwinked when they deal with Porto. Rather spend over the odds for a really good player who'll add just what we need. Not ideal but given where we find ourselves now, I'd be more disappointed saving a few mil and ending up without an important addition.

Apparently, according to Portugeuse tabloids this happens quite a lot with African players assome have so many 'part owners' and it was some Sport Company that pulled the deal and asked for more, thus Porto had to do likewise. Twice this has happened with our deal for Brahimi; initially agreed 35m euros, then they pulled out, went up to new asking price 42m euros and now they have pulled it again asking for 50m euros.
Should just. Walk away leave them with one very pissed off player , who sounds a bit moody anyway.

Wonder why the club didn't pay the last €10m difference? At the range of price being suggested, what's the last little bit for a player of his supposed quality? Players aren't throwing themselves at Everton at the moment...need to pay that little bit extra...

Should've just offered 80 million. We'd deffo have got him then and our net spend would have been massive: ergo we would win everything!

Personally would have sold stones today

Soon as we sold stones everyone knows they can rinse us because we've got the sky money too

Plus banding about how much we have to spend 100m doesn't help either

Funny how Leicester managed to do a deal for the sporting player who we wanted
