I'm literally just about to buy a xiaomi mi 9t pro. Just wether I go with eBay or Gearbest to buy though...
I have bought a few phones from gear best and banggood but the problem is if you can update the software ,the last one I bought for the wife was a Sony xperia , when I tried to update it was a Japanese market phone model and I couldn't do it and nor would the Sony dealers because they hadn't sold it .It is still working but she only uses it as a phone and for facebook .

I got my Xiaomi from gear best from memory, no probs updating.

Although they use a forked Android so updates were for their own OS, you are likely stuck with the Android version it ships with.

I think if you get the International or Global version then updates are fine from what I've read. Xiaomi use miui or whatever its called which is an android OS hybrid. Heard its not the best but I presume I'll get used to it. But with Xiaomi, the specs of some of the phones just cannot be beaten anywhere..

Have a mi cc9 and my daughter just got a redmi note 8. Both very happy. Previously had a oneplus, which are great, but xiaomi are much better value for the spec you get at the moment.

Which one(s) are you looking at?

Imagine how sad your life must be when you can remember off the top of your head exactly what mobile phone a forum member has on an Internet forum. What a sad and pathetic life somebody must have to obsess about somebody like that, it's actually verging on stalking. :bye:

You should be flattered Butters. Imagine if Mrs Butters was that attentive.

probably either of Redmi Note 8 Pro or Xiaomi Mi 9t Pro mate

I bought one from GearBest about a year ago and it's pretty good. The only annoying bit is the onscreen finger print detector as it can sometimes take a few tries.
I got a One+ a few years ago and rate their phones higher than Xiaomi (although probably from the same factory)

Got a Xiaomi Pocophone, best phone I've ever had, and that includes all Samsung Galaxy phones up until S8. Only thing I could ask for extra is for it to be waterproof, but for 300 nicker you can't have it all.

My phone died a week ago, after a bit of research i've ordered a pocophone, 189 from a UK company ! Although i've ordered from eglobal before in Hong Kong, i needed something quick. How'dya rate the camera mate ?

Camera is very decent mate, especially when it's low light and you use the night mode!

Very much enjoying the irony of someone on their 5th or 6th account and having previously written in begging to be allowed back on calling others sad and pathetic.
