Any number you think of with two figures will, when you reduce it with the two numbers it's made of, become a multiple of nine.

For example.. take 47. You first reduce it 47-7=40 and then take the first figure 40-4=36 4*9=36

No matter what figure you think of from the start, you will in the end think of either 9, 18, 27, 36, 45, 54, 63, 72 or 81.

If you look at the board where you look at what kind of present you think of, you will notice that all those numbers have the same gift, while the other numbers have other, different things to make it look like many different things.
