Ok, so i can kind of get yakubu leaving...was it for £5m

and i can almost get beckford leaving for £3m

But arteta for £10m, even if he did want to leave, he should have allowed us to get the best price for him...£15m is the bare minimum id expect for arteta...still at least we've still got jags!

Anyone else think the midfield will now be

Coleman (when fit) Felli Osman Drenthe

with Barkley just behind Straq!

Feed the Straq and he will score!!!

*It also looks like Shaq, which earns him bonus points.

Arteta was fairly anonomous against Blackburn, he's been a passenger for a while. how many times have we begged he would return to form?, £75,000 a week is 3.25 Million pounds a year, four year contract left with us, that would take him to 33 and cost us a whopping £15.6 Million pounds.

As it is, we've got 10 million in for him, add that to the saving of 15.6 Million pounds = 25.6 Million pounds.

Is Arteta worth that much to Everton over 4 years?, has he justified that lately?, not against Blackburn, and not for years in my opinion.

Good business, would have liked him to stay but can understand why the deal made sense when you see Barkley threading through balls like he's doing.

Losing Jagielka, Fellani, Rodwell would have been more damaging.

What i am concerned about, and not too pleased with Moyes and the board about is the striking options....That's the real problem we have got to face up to.

good points, dude

the yak was always gonna go as i thought would yobo( but beggars cant be choosers i guess)
beckford was always gonna go if the bid was big enough
and then the signs were there for someone "big" to leave due mainly to the pressure from the banks

there gone we banked the money so let us see if rodwell can step up to the plate.....lets us see the "benefits" of some of players signin long term contracts that the likes of cahill and neville are consistently remindin us of

and in the meantime just hold off on the poison pen letters .................COYB

well said, cant argue with that.......I know he divides opinion but I still reckon Bendtner would have been ideal for us

Given the need for a striker why wasn't Bendtner involved in the Arteta deal?

personally i wouldnt have wanted him he s hit and miss at best otherwise
a - he wiould be in the arsenal side
b - other sides would be looking for him

and id imagine if he was invovled in the deal it would have meant less money for us
