Would you go the game alone?

Is it weird to have a pre match pint by yourself like?

Cos I have a erm ... friend who does that.

I can be a friend to you....

Been on my own once, instead of a pre match pint had a can on the walk from Kirkdale station - touch of class me

I used to go on my own plenty.. That could be to do with being a season ticket holder from a distant part of the country though.

I've been alone a few times this season and its sound. Got a season ticket on my own next season aswell, quite enjoy it really. Bare in mind I usually go with me mam and dad, I just got sick of sitting in the main stand so moving my seat to gwladys street next season

I go on my own every week because my mate decided to get a job that meant he had to work Saturdays so he didn't renew last season and there is no one else to go with as all my mates are kopites.

I go on me own. Me mate sits in the main stand so I go for pre and post match bevy with him.
After a season or two you just start talking to the lads next to ye. I've done it for about 5 years now, its nothing to be arsed about

Not a big fan of going my own, I like the whole ritual of the match (drinking with mates) and I don't enjoy it on my own.

Season ticket will be different though as you'll get to know the lads around you, surely there must be someone you can meet up with before and after the game? I'd offer myself but I don't get to many games and I'm a bit worried that your avatar is actually you!

Ive been to some London aways with a guy off here called Mark, who sorts me out with tickets, sometimes they're not together so I sit on my own. Usually end up chatting to ppl around me a bit, then see him and his mate after.

I've been to about fiftenn away games on my own this season and Oldham at home in the cup, not too bad, but definitely prefer when my mates are with me. I'd have no problem going the home games on my own though.

Been to the match alone loads of times, couldn't help myself

Absolutely nothing wrong with it. I prefer it on most occasions. Not hard feeling a connection with the rest of the supporters even though I don´t know them all by name.

4 of us had ST's this year, but grandad's packing it in (too old), mates moving away, anothers starting a job and sisters going Uni next year. Wasn't going to renew mine but would miss it far too much, but would mean going alone. Anyone do this? Don't want to feel like a tit.

I had a season ticket on my own for about 6 seasons from the age of 15, just got to know all of the regulars around me.

Been going the match on my own for years now, used to go with me Dad an me Grandad but only me left now. I know everyone sit around so its all cool, go to aways on the same coach to so always same people. Took my Girlfriend the Bolton away game an just felt wird, having to watch my language an trying to stay calm really took its toll on me lol. Prefer going on my own these days as I've got used to it. Dont have to wait for someone having "one more bevvy".

Petit, know just what u mean about making connections. Got mates for life from following the blues, loads of times I've bumped into lads in know from the match an ended up having a bevvy.

Throughout the 80s I lived in London and would travel the length and breadth of the country on my own watching the blues. Most times I would bump into someone going the game or in the pub beforehand. Often though I would end up on my own in their end and trying not to get too excited when we scored.

When I go to the home games I go with my brother in law and his mates, sometimes I see an old friend and we have a bevvy and a chat. Away games I go with my lad or on my own. You tend to bump into someone for a chat and in the ground there are plenty of blues to talk too.
