Would you give Stubbsey another year?

Well who would have thought, when Stubbey re-signed from sunderland that we would have gotten another two and half seasons from him! A true blue who has given us great service.

But to put the managers hat on for a second would you give Stubbsey at i think 36/37 another year? If nay replacement?

I agree with you Bruce but I doubt if Alan would. Look a Davie Weir still doing it in the C/L but he had shot his bolt with us, only time will tell but as he gets older so does Rodwell!

I'm sure he could still do a decent job but I think the team is improving such that we have to be looking for someone better equipped than a 37 year old Alan Stubbs.

I'd say its likely he has at least another year left in him as a backup, possibly even 2, but obviously only as a backup.

When Weir had lost it, it was clear to tell, it isnt quite so clear yet with Stubbs, so I'd give him at least another year.

i dont know who they are, but i suspect sunderland would bend over backwards for such a committed die hard defender, that can read the game and extinguish the danger.
