Would we go bust if relegated ?

Player Valuation: £225k
I know it's unlikely but the club must be planning incase it happens. We lose 75% of our income and with no money to pay anyone we would have to sell most top players.

What would actually happen to the club? it's a serious post and not a doom and gloom wind up.

Does anyone here have a clue?

we'd have to come back up within the parachute payment era imo

We would not be able to cope with the shame

Why is it unlikely at this moment in time? We have the worst form in the league, can't buy a goal for love nor money, and are conceding goals at the second worst rate in the Prem. IT IS RELEGATION FORM!!!

No, we wouldn't go bust. We'd still have this year's massive TV revenue increase, and a load of parachute payments after that.

Would we have an immediate return to the Premiership though? I'm not so sure.

A more serious answer ...

No, we wouldn't go bust. You're right, players would be sold and replaced with cheaper ones so we'd just cut our cloth according to the division we're in. Relegation would totally bugger up the plan for a new stadium though so would put us in a pretty awful place.

What new stadium?,Oh that one thats been in the Sky for the past 20 odd years eh?;)lol

Newcastle did a good job in keeping some of their Premier League standard players when they went down, and they ended up coming straight back up. Most clubs don't, though.

Perhaps a lurker from RAWK may have more of a clue and be able to offer some light on that scenario considering that LFC were not too long ago a hell of a lot closer to "going bust" than us and without the added "inconvenience" of being relegated even.
