Would anyone else hate to Louis Saha leave?

4-5-1 =/= 4-4-2

He's had some space to operate, and now can do more than just hold the ball up and bring the crowded, sluggish midfield into play. We've been moaning about no one shooting from distance, but now twice in two games Saha has had the space to fire in two 25 yard beauties.

Ergo, it's the formation that's changed. Not him. He's class, but inconsistent. Right now he's having a good spell, let's hope it lasts.

That's a fair point.

Being honest, I'd say I'm better at arguing than debating.

But the point you made was fair, Saha doesn't play the 4-5-1 well plus he's come out saying how he likes having a partner up front and has scored twice in two games so I'm willing to give him until the end of the season before I yell for him to be f*cked off.

Aye, you have.

I've ****ged him off a lot, and I guess it was more frustration at Moyes; Why did he drop the Yak for Saha, when the Yak was playing so well? Why did he persist with Saha up top alone? Why did he wait so long to bring off Saha when he was having a terrible game? Etc.

Saha must have been as frustrated as us, even more so probably. So I was right to give stick, as I had valid points. Maybe I just directed a bit too much of it at Louis!

So we need a 3rd striker who can play up top alone with Cahill as the fifth midfielder/striker hybrid (Yak in his prime). When we play 4-4-2, drop Cahill and put in Saha/Beckford. Change it up depending on the matchup. Solved.
