Worst Transfer Window Ever?

Money spent in the above window is shocking for the return we got. Best signing was the free

We are definitely way behind every single premier league club and, by the looks of it, alot of champioship clubs. Bristil city bidding 6m for gayle. Im afraid our spending is similar to the 90's. Hope this plane banner goes ahead. Enough is Enough

Being linked with players like Evans and Lennon (permanent) is embarassing and in fact they dont even keep us standing still, they are worse than what we currently have...its fair to have a moan at the media links.

However, the signings of Cleverley, Deulofeu and Holgate are really exceptional for what we need them for now and in the future. For the money spent i dont know who can complain about them.

Additionally extending our main midfield lynchpin (who will be better when Barry is ditched) contract as well as Garbutt and Mirallas who both seemed to be off is also very good business.

So the facts are that weve made 3 potentially very good signings and 3 very good contract extensions.

I am starting to think that there are a lot of RS "guests" on the forum as Evertonians arent known to be incredibly stupid and talk about a terrible transfer window when the manager has said were signing 3 players and deals are close. Plane banners and talkshows etc about lack of signings 2 weeks before a transfer window closes is ridiculous.

To answer the OP, this is nowhere near a bad window...others have listed the worst ones in recent memory. In fact when you compare it to most years over the past couple of decades its up there with the best!!

I wouldn't argue that we haven't got good value for money so far.

It's just frustrating that no matter how flush the PL is and how much the other clubs are able to spend, we're always skint.
