Posted via Mobile Device Including levels of pain. I got stung by a wasp on the sole of my foot the other day, that smarted a bit. Got stung by fire coral whilst doing scuba last year, that stung but itched and blistered for about two months.

I've managed to avoid stingings for a while now. Got done a lot when i was a little 'un. Has given me an irrational fear of all things small which could never possibly hurt me.
And Wasps.

Couple of jellyfish stings long ago, fairly minor, just swore and carried on. I once trod on a portugese man of war on a beach, luckily I was wearing flip flops and didn't get stung. That could have been dramatic.
A wasp on the top of my head, hurt like feck and when I tried to sleep it hurt even more. Hate the little buggers, but I survived, he didnt, 1-0 me, in your face WASPY!!!

I've had nothing worse than a few (small) python bites when I worked at Chester Zoo, hurts though and they are a bugger to get off, lots of backward pointing teeth.
The missus got bitten on the arse by a whitetail spider a few years ago. Luckily the poison went deep into the tissue. If it spreads under the surface this can happen.

As for actual stings, I got stung on the hand by a wasp when I was a kid & it was probably my fault for not looking before I sat down. Also, once when I was on the bus coming home from school 1 came in through the sunroof & ****ted me on the head, didn't sting me though

I've been stung by a few bees. It's barely worse than a nettle sting.
I got bitten by a Canada Goose the other day.
It was rubbish, didn't have teeth or owt.
I also got eaten alive by midges the other day while camping.
Nothing venomous though.

I got bitten by an Alsatian many, many years ago. I must have been about 12, playing golf on the field. Was just on my backswing when next minute im on the floor with this HUGE dog on my back, biting the hell out of me. Next minute this old lady runs up, gets the dog off and says "Dont worry love, hes got no teeth".
So it wasnt as bad as it could have been, but my back was covered in huge bruises from it trying to bite me and scratches of its paws. Scary moment.
Hated dogs since then.
