guy at work had a mental breakdown at work last week and started to referring himself in the third person, before being taken home by his wife. Unbeknownst to anyone before he started (around 2 months ago) he was diagnosed as bipolar 2 years prior. For reasons I dont know, he doesnt appear to have been hospitalised for this event. He claims he will be back at work in 10 days time. Apparently he has been carrying on with the third person marrative on Instagram as well.
I dont manage him, but work closely with him. Frankly speaking I dont want him back after all the above. Do I have any case to raise a grievance if he is let back in and I am told to work with the guy?
because i didnt know about his condition, and hadnt seen how he behaved when he had an episode.so prior to this event, you were fine.
poor attempt at traction I'm getting the feeling here...
If you can't see the glaring discrimination case staring straight at you, then I very much doubt you manage anyone or anything.I don't manage him, but work closely with him.
Be better off learning about the condition and how you can be supportive and know what to look for if there is a reoccurrence of the event. This may be something that the company can get behind too.because i didnt know about his condition, and hadnt seen how he behaved when he had an episode.
Now I do/have.
Fairly logical you would think.
paying way to much respect to the post, Saturday morning, city away, could do with a good show, nerves are fraught.WTF !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is this serious ??????????????????????????????????
He`s unwell, he`s off sick as he`s unwell, he`s not dangerous, why the F shouldn`t he be allowed back to work once he`s well enough ?????
He should be supported, not vilified.
You really are one vile human being.
The irony being you work at the WD40 factory.paying way to much respect to the post, Saturday morning, city away, could do with a good show, nerves are fraught.
In related news, (this is all lies btw) I have a colleague at work in a wheel chair, but part of their contraption squeaks and I don't like it, can anyone guide me through a means of harassing and persecuting this differently abled person for my own amusement please.
:/
Guy who worked in a different department sent a leaving email to all the staff. Didn’t have a clue who he was. No only was the email a personal flex on his performance, he signed it off ‘hasta la pasta baby’I absolutely love an office character, they make the day so much better. I love watching people hate them too. I don't often talk to them, the guy above probably doesn't know I exist
I only go into the office twice a week but the best thing is, the characters love the office every day so I'll always see them
Force him to run over you, bang a claim in and grab your passportpaying way to much respect to the post, Saturday morning, city away, could do with a good show, nerves are fraught.

Document the lot, especially the 'redundancy consultation'. If they are gearing up to cut a few, the decision has been suggested if not actioned fully yet. Get every detail, conversation, email, txt message you can. Because if they try it on again, they're breaking the law again and there are some powerful forces that live for new mums penalised for having children. It's misogynistic, it's harassment, it's against labor policy, it is illegal. The wife had just returned to work in August after maternity leave to be placed at risk of redundancy in September.
Then after 4 weeks on sick returned to no return to work interview and straight to redundancy consultation meeting one.
After asking a number of basic questions in the meeting the risk of redundancy revoked and moved to a new team.
All while public ads for jobs at her level were advertised before she was placed in a team and her new manager has shared the team has grown x3 in the last few months.
Discrimination alive and well.
