Women's team to play games at Goodison.

I'm 100% behind bringing the Women's team to Goodison...

It feels like a natural growth of the club... 2 teams / 1 City / All EVERTON
Deffo feels like a good marketing idea 2 stadiums 1 club - Hopefully Everton will sort something out to show our commitment to build and grow the area.

They defo aren't keep anything as it stands. With their plans to sell all the seats at Goodison it'll be impossible to do this. At best we might rebuild a new smaller, purpose built stadium on the same site but even that I think unlikely.
Wouldn't make much sense to tear down the park end in this scenario but I could see the other stands going given their age - or at the very least reduced in size so that only the bottom tiers are kept and re-roofed.

I suppose they could make it work the park end and three 500 capacity stand for the other sides. But it would still be ultra ambitious and likely to be a money loser for a number of years until the attendance for the womans game goes up. Plus aren't they looking to sell all the park end seats along with the rest? Sounds like they intend to demolish the entire ground tbh.😔

cheaper to replace a few plastic seats in than fully demolish and start again.

I can't see it being cost effective at all to retain Goodison Park for women's and u21 matches.

Whole stands would have to be closed down, the place would look empty for every game with seats missing all over the place, the electricity, water etc costs would be high to maintain a ground like Goodison with next to no income for it.

As much I would like it to stay, I just see a sad end for it that way. If we are going to leave - leave on a high.

Think it could work, if it's redeveloped to a smaller capacity, and using the available space behind the Park End for other developments.

All down to how much the owners would be willing to contribute though. The ground could still generate revenue but unlikely enough for a complete overhall.

A complete waste of time. Won’t last longer than a season, and will be sold or developed into something into something else within 18 months. Women and the U21’s would be much better in a smaller ground with an atmosphere than a lifeless 39000 seater with about 2000 in it.

Yeah, beating Southampton for our 5th win of the season is certainly leaving on a high isn't it!!
