With our Squad

Hard one when you don't know what those who finished above us will do in the summer regarding their own squads .

I'l go with 5th , overtaking the rs ( poor squad of players , who I reckon have appointed an overrated manager ) and Spurs ( current uncertainty regards their manager , and the lack of cl football which is almost certain to result in them losing key players this summer ) of the sides that finished above us last season .

On the premise that we go with only Pienaar then there's no way on earth that we would go higher than 6th and that's being daftly optimistic, which I am.

The whole right side is still poor, we have no proper cover for Baines and with Denis going we'd be relying on poor mans Heskey if Jelly gets injured, which over the course of a season of 4-5-1, is an absolute cert.

We've had a decent run with injuries over the past two seasons as well IMO, I can't see that continuing.

Like I said, daftly optimistic.

Isn't Ivanhoe free?

Barkley's knees will explode once the fixtures are announced.
While this may be true, I think we can push for Europe with the attacking prowess of our resident Croatian and hopefully our resident bass speaking south African

With just adding pienaar 7th/8th

If we can add a RW (Donovan) and a couple of decent squad players we could challenge 4th but prob just fall short!

If they played a full season instead of the traditional February start. With Jelavic and hopefully Pienaar we should be pushing for 4th.

With the exacts same squad we finished with last season and a good start to the season (for a change) there is no reason why we cant challenge for the top 4 but probably fall a bit short. So yeah 5th for me.
