Inter striker target for Everton
Friday 02 January 2009 - 08:20:40
Speculation in Italy has begun that Everton have enquired about Adriano the Inter striker deemed expendable by Jose Mourinho the former Chelsea and current Inter boss.

Mourinho and Adriano have had a series of run ins and it is accepted by both parties that a divorce this winter is the best option, that said Adriano wont go just anywhere and Inter will not sell at a discount.

Daily Star reports that Bolton and Everton both are keeping a close eye on French top goalscorer Andre-Pierre Gignac. Gignac currently under contract with Toulouse is the top goalscorer in French football at the moment.

Everton and Bolton are both ready to splash out a substantial fee in the region of £10 million for the French wonder. Everton midfielder Mikel Arteta is linked with a move to Arsenal, and if that move goes through it could free up cash for signing Gignac.

Megson and Bolton should be able to place a bid and go through with the move. The question is will Andre-Pierre Gignac join Bolton ?

The long pursued by many European squads, and Fiorentina's most talked about striker Giampaolo Pazzini's agent Davide Torchia says he cannot exclude any possibilities that his client will part from Fiorentina in January.

"I have not talked to Giampaolo in these days, but it's normal that he wants to have more chances to play though he is very attached to Fiorentina. We must consider the fact that at the moment there are many teams that are ready to give him an opportunity to play. A transfer abroad? In this moment I can't exclude anything. The market is strange and changes everyday", Torchia declared.

In addition to Everton, a whole host of Italian squads are after the unsettled striker, especially since he has previously hinted he prefers to stay in Italy, before his agent revealed playing outside Italy is also an option. Sampdoria, Palermo, Bologna, Reggina, Catania and Torino are amongst those interested.

Everton are also eying the highly rated Wolves winger Michael Knightly, for whom they are facing competition from Newcastle and Middlesbrough for an estimated £4 million worth deal.

According to the Daily Mail Everton are watching Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Sylvan Ebanks-Blake... they have alson in the past few weeks been liked with his team-mate Wayne Hennessey in the sticks.

Trash Talk Rumour Rating: 4.5: I think Everton are very serious in their interest, as are a number of clubs, Wolves have made it very clear though they don't need to sell. It would take a silly bid for this to happen

Everton striker link resurfaces - Sunday Mercury No.6

im finding it hard to find any solid transfer links for us.

although i did see on some obscure foreign channel that a few clubs are looking to offload big time.

pompey and west ham will listen to any offers for any players.
man city are looking to offload atleast 6 players , newcastle atleast 3 of there big earners.

now theres a few players id like to go in for (lack of money dictates loans with views to buy are our main option) glen johnson , micheal johnson , duff , parker etc etc but we are after strikers .

Nwankwo Kanu
David Nugent
John Utaka

Dean Ashton
Carlton Cole
Diego Tristán

Darius Vassell
Valeri Bojinov
Felipe Caicedo
Benjani Mwaruwari
Daniel Sturridge

for me nugent , tristan , caicedo (castillos mate) and sturridge would be very good loan targets that wont break the bank in the long run.

The default setting will come into play near the end of the month:

Moyes: "Alex, any chance?"

Sir Awex: "Manucho's doing [Poor language removed] all"

Moyes: "He'll do".

A distinct possibility now they've just brought in Tosic.

I wish we could have some sort of rating related to each "story" a sort of;

(n) tosh / gash / never gonna happen
:D Got legs
(y) Gonna happen

Other than that, I am well sick of all this speculation and nonsense and I try to ignore it, though my mate keeps on bugging me about this signing, or being sad because the papers say we're selling someone etc

And yes, this will be my last posting on none existent transfer rumours.
