Exactly, Murray has always been a level below the top guys. He will occasionally have his day but more often than not he will be second best to Djokovic & Federer in the slams. If he wants to get to the top he really needs to sort out his second serve because it's weak as piss, and puts extra pressure on his 1st serve against those guys. I actually think he's playing better this year than he was when he had all his success, still not enough though!
Yeah you would have thought Federer was British the way they were going on. I remember the same thing happened at the US Open a few years back, the crowd were cheering Federer and getting on Djokovic's back. Federer had 2 match points and Novak saved them spectacularly, then came back to win, loved that!
It's very cringey the way that Federer and Nadal are always the crowd darlings, even Murray used to play second fiddle to them at Wimbledon (until he won it and the fickle fannies all started rimming him)
