Very different situation.

Admittedly, it is.

The principle really is that people were suggesting that we wouldn't let a manager who was departing manage the side

We've shown we've got form for doing it - under Moyes it was official. Don't see how this would be all that different, even in a different situation.

I'd be absolutely astonished if we sacked him before the season is over, particularly if the rumours about the extra compensation being payable if we sack him before June are true

Having said that, I do wonder if the board appreciate just how unhappy the fans are with Martinez

The longer this drags on makes me worry for the confidence of some of our younger players. Kids shouldn't have to deal with rubbish like this when they are setting out in the game. just get rid quick.

There will have to be demonstration saturday,"kopite behaviour" or not,it has to be rammed down the throats of this board and Moshiri that RM's position is untenable,I would suggest an organised pre-planned protest maybe everyone gets out of their seats and turns their backs to the pitch(don't do the Poznan lads;)) something four minutes into the game as we have our worst ever home record with four wins and it is also the embarrassing number we conceded last week in the derby, just my suggestion, there are far greater minds out there and on this very forum that would be able to formulate an idea to hit home with them I am sure.

Fully get where you're coming from Dario, can sense the frustration and anger building on this and other threads as each minute and hour goes by.

My preferred option would be a well written on-line petition (change.org ?) in order to harness the feelings of Blues fans around the world, not just game-going public, some of whom may choose to boycott the Bournemouth and maybe even the final home game v Norwich too..

If Martinez is still there this Saturday as seems likely, start the petition on Sunday and as many Blues as possible sign it and forward the link so that others get to hear of it... blag it on other Everton forums and send a massive message to the club that the removal of the current manager and his coaching staff needs to happen NOW.
