Is it me or is moyesy against signing anyone who can beat barry hornes 100 meter record. (somewere around 20 secs i heard).
I watch everton every week and since moyes has been here i,m struggling to think of people who hes signed who have had any real pace( johnson and m. bent) is the best i can do so far.
Dont get me wrong moyes has done a fantastic job. When he took over we were relegation material every year. I cant say enough about the man.
But watchin us sometimes were cryin out for some pace we never break with any real conviction and catch teams on the back foot.
Were a better footballing side than villa but they cause teams a lot of problems just by having pace in the team.
Every time we buy a wide player hes slower than a 5 mile traffic jam and thus makes it harder for them to go past defenders. Kilbanne, mc fadden, van der mayde, pieneer(great player) and now billy. I,m all for having good footballers but please give us some pace ala kanchelskis etc.

Wallcott, ronaldo, rooney,d. bent , torres(wright -phillips to a Point) .You know what a mean. But we have no real pace anywere in the side. Not just out wide.
I,d just like to have a couple of players with pace to burn one wide maybe one up front. Just reckon it would be good outlet when were under pressure.
You know the type of player were the crowd gets excited when there attacking at full speed.

Ronaldo? hmmmm.

We have players like that, Pienaar, Arteta, Yakubu, young Jack in full flow.

Moyes likes his wingers to work, I agree would be lovely to have a real pacer, but there arent that many effective ones out there.

Think the way to look at it is players with real pace and actual ability cost £££, i'd imagine someone like Young in our inflated market would fetch 20 mill minimum.

There is however a few bargains out there, i just want us to sign Moutinho plz plz plz!!!:dancing:

I've watched Moutinho many times this year, and I'm struggling to see what all the fuss is about.
There are many players out there, and he is just one of many mentioned in our rumours.

The man is right Goat, we are slow. Not much getting around it.

Yeah I know, im just saying, Moyes doesnt like pace.

I've watched Moutinho many times this year, and I'm struggling to see what all the fuss is about.

He was superb start of last season, he would shine in our midfield, but saying that, Robbie Savage would at the moment.

Joseph Yobo followed by James Vaughan.

Distin, Jagielka, Coleman, Rodwell, Baines, Agard and Anichebe are the only other ones who have a bit of pace about them. Pienaar's pretty nippy but I wouldn't say he's quick. Louis Saha is still pretty quick when he streches his legs, nowhere near as quick as he was though.

Fellaini's the slowest, Osman and Heitinga will be down there aswell.
