Will the real Arteta please stand up

The other 18 occasions don't come into it. We played a very ordinary team today but won. Brilliant! I am as happy as you. But what I can't accept is Moyes persistance in cack tactics and his continual playing of the usual error prone ordinary players. You might not see it but I do. I might be a funny lad to you but it is worrying that an Evertonian such as yourself accepts such low standards.

If the other 18 occasions don't come into - why are you going on about last week?

Tosh mate. Tosh.

Wait till all the lids are on the forum tomorrow they'll say you're talking tosh too.

I was going on about last week to show the point that it wasn't the same midfield last week so Arteta doesn't have the advantage of gaining familiarity with other players. Surely that was simple to read into??? 2 totally different arguements but obviously way over your head "lid". Hopefully there will be other points put across tomorrow by other "lids". I welcome the debate but if they think I am talking tosh then so be it. Forums are about opinions. I am giving mine now and am willing to defend my stance against anyone else's. By the same token if someone comes up with a credible arguement then i will admit I am wrong. That won't be you though boy.

No you're stuck in the "Moyes Out" tosh argument from last week. Assuming form would stay the same and that players don't need to learn to play together which takes time.

Fellaini out for 6 months. Before that Arteta out for 9 months. They've barely played together really. Therefore are learning how each other plays.

So please. Stop talking tosh.

His set pieces have been awful but his passing and vision look as good as ever. Like Cahill he just HAS to be in the team because no matter how quiet he might be he can make that killer moment that wins us points.

Agreed - he has immense creativity from the few games I've watched - even this year with the slow start.

This week in practice - set piece practice. Set piece practice. Set piece practice. The first few were too short and hit the first man. The next set were too long and ballooned over everyone. He's got two weeks to get it straight.

I would kill for that hairline.

He's been poor from free kick's for a while now imo.. but you know what it's like.. I'll say this then he'll go out and do a Hull from last season (y)

Phil Neville misplaced 25% of his passes attempting to pass the ball 50 times.

Cahill misplaced 41% of his passes only attempting to pass 17 times.

Osman misplaced 19% of his passes attempting to pass 46 times.

Arteta saw a great deal of the ball attempting to pass 43 times. 41 found their target. misplaced passes 4.6%

That's friggin incredible, he hardly ever loses possession when trying to pass.

Arteta needs to play a bit more forward, let fellaini take a deeper role and started spraying some penetrating balls through the middle. Set pieces need to improve. We should probably let someone else take corners now.

Other than that he was very good at Birmingham. Good at Wolves, United, Blackburn etc.

It was only the Newcastle game that he looked poor.
