This is not how the world works Matthew. Burden of proof lies with the person who makes the statement. I know you don't like it because it invalidates your weak argument, but that's the way it is. Otherwise i could say that i've got a 15'' wang and ask you to prove that i don't.

He's not wrong. When Moyes signed his contract, he was in the top 4 manager earners. But the merry go round has spun since then and that's the benchmark now.

Mark Hughes was also on over £3million when he was at Fulham Fox. Part of why he left. Jol is on the same as Hughes was on.
In fact the big surprise is that West Brom are paying Roy Hodgson over £2.5m a year. He was previously on £4million a year at Liverpool before KKK stuck the knife in. (He got a £7 million pay off).
Pardew got a pay rise after his first year for sticking it out.
McLeish is on just under £3million at Villa. His previous was £2million at Birmingham.
The average salary fox is £3million.
The out and out leaders are Wenger, and Vilas-Boas and Mancini. Ferguson following in behind them. All on £6million, Ferguson on about £5.5 as far as I can make out.

If it's common knowledge to a bunch of lids on a forum how much David Moyes earns, do you not think MON would have demanded at least as much from Sunderland given that they have two bob to rub together?

I'm with the fox on this. I'd always thought he was about the 3rd or 4th best paid manager. It was reported that he was, when he signed in 2009, but that may have since changed and I'd be happy to accept evidence to the contrary. However I don't believe it should be used against him, as it so often is.

The most crazy thing I've read of all was that fecking Allardyce was on £3million a year when he was sacked by Blackburn. And was on the same at Newcastle.
