Yes, United can win the League Cup, or a top 4 team could win the FA Cup, or we could win the FA Cup.

So 90% sure yes.
 
I'm not confident of United winning the League Cup. Ferguson has said he will play youngsters, i personally think Spurs will smash them if so. As good as United are, i just think that Spurs are going to win this cup again.

We should be aiming for better then 6th anyway.

The RS youngsters can beat Tottenham so if United where to play their's, i see no reason why they cannot lift the trophy with their youngsters being better than Liverpool's. I do agree with you however that we should be aiming for better than 6th rather than relying on others to get us into Europe.
 

When we win today we'll only be 2 points behind Arsenal and you're talking about holding onto 6th. I think if Villa have a bad run, which they're due, it'll be a full on 3 way fight for 4th and a CL place. Though we'll probably end up getting Barca in the qualifiers if we do with the way we are treated by UEFA

How are Barca going to have to qualify? They are walking away with the league.
