Why we won't get relegated..this season anyway.

At the moment, we have our two starting centre backs injured, Osman, Barkley (supposedly), Coleman and two relatively unfit players in Vellios and Anichebe. When all of these return to the squad it will look considerably stronger.
Tim Cahill scored today and that should give him confidence. You saw today that he put himself about more and won more in the air almost instantly after his goal. If he can get a run together he will win us at least 2 games.
Crucially, we are currently 14th, 8 points ahead of the relegation zone. This means that 4 or 5 teams will need to make up 8 points on us without us picking up points in this period. I personally feel that we will win 4-6 games between now and the end of the season and will finish 9th at the highest.

So let's try and be a bit more positive and get behind the lads at the match, because admittedly, the atmosphere at Goodison has been pitiful this season!

Next 7 league games include Liverpool, City, Chelsea, Spurs, and Arsenal.

We could easily be bottom 5 after that. We can't even beat promoted teams at home FFS.

Our fixture list is scary. Unlike the past few seasons we've lost every single game against teams in the top 8 -- which is utterly, f*cking abysmal -- so I don't even fancy our chances of a spirited point.

I still can't see us getting relegated however. I'm finally revising my opinion that we'll finish top 8 comfortably though.
