Why we need to be supportive against City

Firstly I am one of those who said Martinez out after the Hull game and I am still yet to be fully convinced. However I do now feel he deserves a chance to turn things around and I mainly believe this because of his willingness to change his style against West Ham. It showed for the first time that he does have flexibility and what we need to remember is he is still a young manager and is learning his trade.
During the West Ham game I noticed there were some needless boo's on a couple of occasions when the ball went back to the keeper, however, on this occasion in contrast to previous games these were after a necessary backpass and not as a result of negative football. Its really unhelpful to boo your own team just for the sake of it, however as I said the boos in previous games to West Ham were perhaps justified due to needless passing at the back leading to the backpass.

I think the main problem with Martinez in my opinion was his unwillingness to adjust and this was the reason behind me wanting him out, however if he does make the necessary changes and shows flexibility then the guy deserves a chance. Its been reported that he changed the style on the request of the players and this is clearly showing flexibility and he deserves credit for that.

The best thing we can do now as fans is support the team and try to help the team through this difficult period. Martinez wont be sacked any time in the near future and the best way for Everton to climb back up the table is with the support of the fans. We are still in two cups which are both winnable if we can get back to the kind of form we are capable of and with Martinez showing the willingness to adapt we certainly have the players to make the difference.
Who knows, this poor run of form could be a blessing in disguise which has prompted one or two important January signings which could take us up a level to win one of these cups.

Oh. I was going to not support my team this weekend.

Of course we give support mate. In any way we can. No matter what.

Nobody wants us to lose. Not even @bizzaro

But we need something to support. Effort like against West Ham will go a long way.

Er why have you tagged me in this thread?

I love fickle fandom. Lose to hull martinez out. Get a flukey last minute win and suddenly let's give him a chance.

KOFF martinez ya suede shoed bell.
Imagine the delirium if in fact it was a win and not a mere equalizer/stay of execution for a week until we get knocked out in the replay ;)

Clever man, Martinez. Played a couple of hoof balls against West Ham to get the doubters back on side. Well, if that's what they wanna see...

Depends on the attitude of the players. I'll support if there's something to support. If they show up and start tapping it about instead of looking to go out and win (which we should) then no.
