To say that luck is a factor in them being much better than us this season is laughable.

They built their team around Vardy, and built their team to work to his strengths, pace, directness, counter-attacking. We've just kind of made a Frankenstein of a team, a bit like United, in the sense that we've built with the best players available, but will they compliment each other? Are they actually just cast offs?
We've signed players like Richarlison, Bernard, Iwobi and Walcott, who rely on their pace, but their creativity is Sigurdsson who is slow, uninispiring and holds us back. What we need to do is sign a proper striker and build round him.
I do feel Leicester have fell into a little purple patch, like we had 10-years ago, with cheap, but smart signings like Tielemans, Maddison, Evans and Soyuncu. But they've had players like Barnes and Chilwell come through. I'm not saying Leicester are going to win the league, but look how they approach things, and look how we approach things. When i mentioned Cast Offs before... Maddison, Soyuncu, Ndidi, Praet and Riccardo are all players who were stars for their team, who Leicester took. Digne, Gomes, Mina, Walcott, Schneiderlin and Iwobi? By contrast...

What is slightly encouraging is that Leicester were badly average 12 months ago and when the time came to switch managers they got it bang on.
Talent-wise, I think we have a good squad of players, if a little mentally fragile. Hopefully the next manager can get the best out of them (or Silva somehow manages to turn it around).

why Liverpool and not Everton?
Rodgers is very good, an intelligent coach, always seeking to learn more. Plays his best 11, without titting around to be ‘clever’.
Pace, deliberately, in several key positions.
But they’ve spent their money (also a fortune) wisely. Meaning they don‘t have so much of an unsettling revolving door of players. Just a few transfer duds.
Transfer business done quickly and in more privacy eg the Zaha saga seemed to go on forever splashed across the papers.

Better decision making than us. People say we were better without money, that’s the missing the point, it’s the people spending it and making the decisions that’s the problem also.
The mentality isn’t there for us, from personal experience on social media and in person, I’m getting pretty cheesed off with some others for giving petty stick for simply pointing out what is there in front of us. One example is like a repeat of two years ago.

Responses “Stop crying. Stop moaning. We will be fine. Everything is fine.”
This summer exactly the same over not replacing Zouma and Jagielka and not getting a quality forward to help the young lads particularly Kean.
Not saying I’m some prophet, some smart fella or anything.I just get frustrated because there are glaring issues time and again, some won’t have it, we end up finishing with no silverware and another mundane league finish or a manager leaves and it’s back to square one whilst others progress and push on leaving us having a tougher time trying to catch up.
I can’t say definitely if Leicester will see more success long term than us, short term who looks the most likely? It’s them isn’t it?
It’s alright saying we are a big club with history , how long is that going to work as each year other clubs achieve and we don’t? It says a lot these days more and more question if we are a big club or relevant club when at one time it wasn’t up for question.
I don’t want these or others becoming another club to look on and say “why isn’t that us”

Good decision making from the top basically. We’ve cocked up but the owners and DOF admitted and learnt from their errors.
But when you are clubs like Everton and Leicester, a couple of errors in recruitment or on players can knock you for six for several seasons.
The money and squad quality isn’t there to work around the errors easily. It’s taken several years of transition post title win to come back as we had to replace near enough the whole ageing squad.
We are in a good position now, but if we lost a player and mucked up a replacement, and you picked the right manager and got a top quality centre forward, then suddenly things could look different.
The question is, will the people at the top admit and learn from their errors. Silva looked like one of those appointments based on media reputation than cold hard facts.

They gave Shakespeare the gig and he lasted eight months ( and was our assistant manager a week or two later....go figure
)
They replaced him with Puel and he lasted about 15 months.....and when they fired him they had a proven EPL manager lined up.
By way of contrast, we made a holy show of ourselves in an expensive, relentless pursuit of a nobody and are “reaping” the rewards now.
So those thinking Silva deserves more time and at the same time wonder why we cannot do what Leicester do....think again.

See, here’s the thing.
If someone had posted on here in February that we should fire Silva and fetch in Rodgers the Super Bloo Brigade would have been down on him like a ton of bricks,
The same every time someone suggests Rafael.
Now, I don’t know if those two guys are so steeped in the Cult that they would consider coming here.
But if they would, it would be nuts to discount them on the grounds they managed the RS.
