Why Leicester and not Everton?

They've had breaks and we haven't. Yes Rodgers is better than Silva in that he has a plan but also has adapted to his players well but he's not a "top manager" because of 2 good months.

I don't know if we can catch them this season but I guarantee we finish above them next year. They aren't jumping us like Spurs did a few years back.

Their midfield + CF
Tielemans, Ndidi, Madison, Vardy.

Ours
Davies, Gomes, Sigurdsson, DCL

Thats the difference.

We need Gbamin back and Iwobi at 10 every game + have to hope Kean comes good.

Imagine not going after Maddison when Barkley was leaving. Wrecks my head to this day.

Hindsight is great isn’t it. At the time Maddison was just a kid at Norwich and Sigurdsson was proven Prem quality so I can sort’ve understand the logic behind that.

The one for me is that we could have (and should have) had Van Dijk leaving Celtic to replace Distin in 2015 - signed Funes Mori and the rest is history.

Not sure where you are getting the two months from. He's been there since febuary and if Everton had gained the points tally they have since febuary we would be creaming over whatever manager it was.
I'd have had him at Everton like a shot.

We had more points than they did in the run in last year playing tougher sides. The start of this season has been an impressive run. Last season was fine.

The spine of their club is much better.

Rodgers is a great manager.

Vardy is a great striker.

They have a solid back 4 who recognise they need to defend well.

They recruit sensibly at sensible prices.

They do everything better than us.
Especially this. When they won the league he was scoring worldies every other week, AND the tap ins. What a find he was by Leicester’s scouting team.

Leicester will finish at least 15 points ahead of us. Maybe even 20. I get that form is temporary and it’s not a knee jerk (because I said this in July), but they are miles ahead of us as a club, as a team, and are playing as such.
They weren’t miles ahead last season. Let’s wait and see, but they aren’t city, Liverpool, Chelsea or even spurs. They are playing well, full of confidence. No injuries and luck going for them.

One or two injuries could easily effect especially to vardy. If everyone stays fit and they keep getting decisions in there favour, then they may get too 4. But it’s a huge if

The thing is Vardy finishing at a crazy level isn't totally unexpected, but every single player in their team is taking chances left right and center. Chilwell and Ndidi have been good finishers. I don't see that keeping up.

They are better run than us. Have a striker and have recruited wisely for a number of years. Rodgers is also a good coach as much as it irks me to say.

Well we had that out on this forum at the time about tougher sides. The man utd chelsea and arsenal that came to Goodison were tough in name only on paper. At the time arsenal and utd stunk the place out and had been for a while. Chelsea was the toughest fixture. First half poor 2nd half good.
Can go round the houses on this one. Rogers has been excellent since the minute he walked into that club.
Silva has had a decent last few months of last season. Rest has been poor to average.
Rogers is a far better manager.

We can revisit this in the future because I think there are some signs that this won't go on forever. It isn't like they are battering teams every week. In fact the only times they have done is when the opponent has gotten a first half red card. A lot of narrow wins otherwise. That tends to reverse at some point.
