Why is Steven Gerrard disliked by so many Evertonians?

Oh, and it's not bitterness why we hate him, before someone bangs on that drum. I acknowledge how good a player he is, but that doesn't mean I like him.

For example, Xabi Alonso, even when at Liverpool, I utterly admired as he was just brilliant and a good guy too. Bainesy is respected by Kopites for the same reasons.

But Gerrard is 'kin horrible, just a terrible human being.

Look, Xabi Alonso, Steve McManaman, Ian Rush, Michael Owen, Gary McAllister... I can't hate them. I wish I could, because Rush haunted us and McAllister made Paul Gerrard look like the tool he was in that derby, but there obviously decent blokes and top players.

We hate Gerrard due to the fact he's a sh*tehawk, not because he was brilliant - which he was.

You won't find an Evertonian who will say otherwise.

We dont hate quality players.

I personally think that Torres, before you ruined him, was the best striker in World Football, also Gerrard, a few Years back, was without doubt the most complete midfielder in the World.

Its like you assume we hate quality players.

You don't judge somebody when they're at their best, you judge somebody when they're at their worst. A lot of the murdering scumbags on this earth treat their family and friends as well as anybody. Gerrard is sound with his kids and wife and mates from what i've seen but he got off scot free from that DJ incident and he's a sanctimonious little c**t.

Cracking player in his day though.
