Toffeeweb - Fan Articles - More Misery on the Mersey

I present Exhibit A: Tony Marsh.

Evertonian? I'm not so sure.

Intelligent? Debatable.

Windup Merchant? Absolutely.

You can rest assured that if Everton pull themselves out of the mire, which they eventually will, he'll go missing for an extended period of time.

Every one of his articles are like this, as a few responders pointed out.

Is everything hunky dory with Everton FC right now? No, not at all. But to listen to this guy, you'd think that it's been this way since Moyes took over.

...but then this is a guy who "doesn't rate Pienaar..." and thinks Moyes was foolish for bringing Saha on board.

I got tired of TW for the same reason (still have the odd look).
You could actually refer to one of our bad patches of form as 'going through a bit of a Tony Marsh period at the moment' and everyone would get the idea. His epitaph will read 'Nil Satis'.

I never really read it anymore.

I'm not a fan of websites that dont have balanced views or articles, everything all biased towards doom and gloom. And when someone does have something nice to say, they get shot down in flames in the replies.

And that's not even in the fan article sections, that's on their main news bit also. FOr example, I know Kirkby is a major dividing opinion between blues but Toffeeweb is an anti-kirkby site. Any news story (good or bad) are written up with snidey comments and sly digs at people rather than just report Everton related news.

I just got to thinking but if TW ever gets the front page fixed where it shows recent threads (or selected threads) from GOT at the bottom of the right hand column, I'll laugh if this one shows up.:lol::lol:

I've never read toffeeweb. Always find out what I wanna know on here so no need to use it. (y)

I look at TW now and again and have read TM's letters. No question in my mind he is a true blue and just because he expresses views which are his own people let their blood pressure get carried away. The result is that they start ranting. If you don't like what some one says the obvious thing to do is ignore them. That is it.

And that's just fine Robert.

However, I'd ask just one little thing.

That his views be based in some sort of factual context. Unfortunately, that's something that he willfully refuses to do or worse, is incapable of doing.

You're spot on about the ranting. It's just that he always seems to be the first one to rant.

It's not a very good website. I'd like to actually see if any of the Toffeeweb writers actually go to the match.

A couple of them speak sense, i don't take much notice in what their names are though.

Funnily enough i saw that article on TW and wondered what bollocks he has come out with now. And surprisingly it wasn't quite as bad as his usual bollocks, he did have some valid points.

But as per usual pretty much everything was twisted to suit his blinkered everythings [Poor language removed] view, and as soon as anyone points out what they think is good so therefor differernt to his opinions it gets shot down.

The guy is nothing but an attention seeker who revells in the fact people know his name.

...and it's the one or two valid points that he makes which he uses to qualify his entire article.

One or two valid points don't make an entire opinion valid.

You pretty much hit the nail on the head Death.

Don't care that much for the Everton sites. For me, the best thing on Toffeeweb is the link to this Blue Heaven.:D(y) Don't think there really are quality sites about Everton, which is a shame for a club of this stature. Most of the times I read stories on either Kipper, Toffeeweb or NSNO, after noticing there is something readworthy, in a thread on the forum.

Cant say ive ever read anything on toffeeweb. I stopped believing anything that is written on these sites after bluekipper said that Moutinho was in the city about to sign, that kinda proved once and for all that these sites DO NOT have any real contacts within the club.

I can find out anything i wish to know from the many people on this forum who constantly search for the hidden gems that we all lap up. :D
