I'm sure if there was someone better than Vellios or Mcaleney to come in when Anichebe is injured we wouldn't have seen as much of Jelavic. Same with Heitinga and Duffy.

Disagree with the Duffy comparison.

Duffy had a run of three or four fames near the end of 2011 when he had injury problems in the centre back position.

He never put a foot wrong in some very assurred performances.

It is a mystery that he hasn't been used again when Disdin or Jags were out and Johnny was struggling for form.

I would love to know why the youths do not get a chance? Seriously. Duffy, Connor Mc, Velios, all should be getting game time, they are gaining absolutely nothin from reserve games, or than seeing mediocre players stay in the first team.

Duffy should have played ahead of Heitinga on a number of occasions, Connor Mc could have played in any number of forwar attacking roles ahead of Pienaar and Neville (shuffling) and Velios should have at least been tried ahead of jelavic

Jelavic has ran his socks of all season. Whilst not scoring, he hasn't been woeful!

Heitinga is 3rd choice and has only had games due to injuries!

Yesterday was all about improved attitude, personnel selection was almost incidental.

Pity it takes the fanbase and Talksport rattling a few cages to get 100% commitment.
