Why do you think Anichebe is still being relied on ?

Brennan

Player Valuation: £90m
- 2 goals in 43 Premier league appearances.
- 14 Games played this season, 12 shots (a pitiful 4 on goal), 0 assists
- 1 goal since 2009

So you tell me, regardless of how nice of a guy he is, how many screamers he scores in training and how much he wants it, why on earth is he still such a focus ?

I havent got a clue mate its like an unsolved who done it!

Im happy to keep him if he plays like he did today and the last half of the Man City match.

This.

I think towards the end of last season, today, and the game against Man City is why we keep him. He clearly can be a useful player for us when he's at the top of his game, but I think his injuries have really held him back. I think he is a confidence player as well, which is something he has also been lacking in and has hurt him this season.

Like Dom said he's been playing good so i have no issue with him playing, But he's been good as a Striker not a right winger when ever he's put on the wing he goes missing yet Moyes keeps putting him there.

"when he's on top of his game" is an epithet written for Anichebe. 'When' being never or rarely or at least nowhere near often enough for him to be anywhere near our starting 11. His running, energy, touch, shooting are just ALL WRONG. Why on earth he wasn't shipped off when he went all moody about contracts is beyond me? He's come to kind of epitomise our totally gash season.. well along with Billy that is. A team of defenders against West Brom doesn't exactly set the pace racing either Mr. Moyes.

He is a very average player at best and htat is being kind to the lad, I wouldn't have anywhere near the starting 11.

You couldn't be more wrong. His best games over last 2-3 seasons are when he was deployed on the either wing. Despite being centre forward all his career he somehow feels more natural playing on the wing, he has a good awareness there, he is linking up well with other players. If he could overcome his conditioning issues he would be pretty useful player there.
