How long have people in the media been saying we would be screwed without lukaku, its like saying god lewis hamilton would be crap without his fourth wheel. We,ll get there and the head rolling is gonna be hilarious.
 

Do people remember when BT did a show on Champions League contenders in Martinez' first season (it was around March I think) with these club banners/crests they use for studio backgrounds, they but forgot about us but included Spurs!

All teams have key players, that finding alternatives to replace them is well in nigh impossible. For lukaku, find Sanchez, Kane, Costa, Zlatan and coutinho. But there's no mention of what should happen to those clubs should any of these players leave. Sky and the media in general have an agenda, to create this top 6, which increases the profile of their brand. They don't want anyone gate crashing the party (like Everton) although I'll probably accept that Leicester winning the league last season, gave the premier league even more focus abroad. Now the natural order has been restored (top 6) sky will be happy and do will the sponsers.

Sky don't 'hate us'. There is no conspiracy against us. The media don't have 'an agenda' against us.

We haven't won a trophy in decades, haven't troubled the top 4 in years and our global fan base is dwarfed by the clubs above us in the table.

That is the uncomfortable truth. To change things, we need to be better on the pitch. Man City were largely overlooked until they started winning things. It was ever thus.
 

I mentioned this the other day but the chief football/sports editor of the Metro has to be a red - they are constantly back page, and if not you can guarantee there'll at least be a decent article on them somewhere inside. Every day.

The Daily Mirror do hate us though mate, every derby match whether at Goodison or Anfield the morning preview is all focused on the RS and how they can't lose to Everton. I noticed this about 5 years ago and nothing has changed every time it comes around.
 
Sky are more than happy to have their 3 biggie London clubs and 3 biggie Northwest clubs. There isn't any room for impostors like us with our shitty ground and non flag/scarf waving fans. Everton missed the boat in the 90s, even winning the title wouldn't get us on board, we would be looked upon as another Leicester.
