Two reasons in my mind. A lot of the media establishment grew up in the RS era of winning so are either fans or have a soft spot for them and a natural dislike for us.
The second reason is that we are usually the team who stop the formation of their beloved super six. When we were rubbish pre Moyes, or under Martinez they were more than happy to big us up. When we threaten the top end of the league showing up certain clubs who spent more than us, taking European spots from others, they don't like it.

Don't let it get to you. Why should we be arsed in the slightest. At the moment the more time they spend discussing the shortcomings of the RS the better.
Our time in the limelight will come but only by hard work and winning things. The commercial requirements of the Murdoch empire means that they have to have a steady interest from the big six, or as we know wherever Liverpool stand and above.

We're under the radar at the minute. And I'm not even arsed. Usually when they mention us it's to show their glee at us being crap.
Watched that Gary Neville programme (a day in life of etc). Finishing his gym workout he asks the fitness instructor which team she supports. She answers "RS". He says - " I knew it, this buidling (Sky Sports Building) is full of them"!!

We get a decent amount of attention and praise on Talksport ironically.
When Sky bought it, the first few weeks were just dreadful on some shows, as it was obvious they had been told to Skytastic the place. Jim White was the worst culprit.
But now, its settled back into shape a bit. Its almost like the producers and that have actively railed against the approach. The top clubs still get a lot of coverage, obvs, but Jim White has calmed right down, and actually has long segments about Charlton, Blackpool, tons of other clubs.

Every fan of every club thinks that Sky hates them - just like every fan thinks that refs are biased against them and that they are the worst team in the league at corners.
Maybe if we win something in the next few years we'll have a right to moan, but TBH, we've been mostly poo for decades - Why should Sky be arsed?
