Who's the best manager Everton never got?

Having read that the late Sir Bobby Robson had been to Everton in the 70's and agreed to become our manager but wanted to let Ipswich Town know of his decision first and asked the Everton board not to let the press know before he had done so,well Everton let the cat out of the bag,Bobby Robson was even given a cheque for a £100,000 just for talking to Everton which he ripped up! The man had class.
So it's not just the current board who manage to cock things up!
Then theres Brian Clough im sure i have read somewhere he was also linked with Everton, so who was the best manager never to manage Everton?
How would they have done? Just a thought.
