Not really looking forward to the season.
We are in a better position than in previous seasons as we are not actively trying to downgrade the squad to save money, and we can actually make improvements with most being young and untested at this level.
Some areas of the pitch have been addressed successfully, but other problem areas haven’t. There is very little on to bench if any use and we will be in trouble when we get a few injuries and AFCON steals players in January.
We have a comfortable few game to start the season, but we start unprepared with important positions still to be filled and players we haven’t bought yet to be got up to fitness and integrated.
Our season hinges on keeping Tarks and Branthwaite fit, and we will be in deep trouble if anything happens to 36 year-old Gana Gueye.
Hopefully we can find mid-table obscurity before the final few weeks of the season and be slightly more attractive to at least some of our targets in future windows.

I can see us finishing 11th or 10th (but don't see us breaking into the top ten), and having a decent run in one of the cups.
