Who you think deserved a trophy, but never won one

Unsworth burst on the scene as a centre back. Played for England at CB at a time when Everton players just weren't considered for England.
Aye. Said to Moomin before at that point I was like 5 and by the time i took notice in his position a few years later he was already our left back lol

I was going to suggest a few more in the OP but thought it best to let others have a go lol

Are we saying that Moyes' side with Arteta, Pienaar etc is akin to Gordon Lee's side? Deserved something but fell short?
I think specific players rather than the side. A side gets what it deserves but individual players may not. For instance Baines/Pienaar was for me, the best left side in the league easily. Their interplay was breathtaking but we never really had an effective right side, other than when Landon Donavon was in for a while. So the entire team was never perfect but they were as good as it gets.

Tim Cahill, Leighton Baines, Phil Jagielka, Mikel Arteta, Tim Howard, would also have been nice for Gravesen or Carsely to be apart of an Everton team who tasted silverware.

Not for me.

Gordon's team of the 1977 to 1980 era is IMO the best side seen at Goodison Park in the lifetime of most of us outside of Harry's great sides of the 60s and Howard's teams in the 80s.

That was some special team and only Liverpool inspired by Dalglish and Souness and Cloughie's double European champions Forest side stopped it winning the Title.

No team of Moyes making ever came near that team in my view.
