Player Valuation: £950k
I don't know if this has been polled or been a thread recently.
Thought it would provide interesting results.
It looks like again we're in a position that if we want to spend substantial funds we're going to have to raise them.
The way I see it, we have four big saleable assets.
Fellaini - £18m+, £25m, £30m mentioned
Rodwell - £14-18m despite not a great season, £25m mentioned
Jagielka - £20m+ (top-class)
Baines - £18M-26m
We also have the option of selling others, perhaps Heitinga, Billy, Arteta even, even Distin has been mentioned. So my fifth option will be generate £10-18mish selling others.
So if you were going to try and generate funds, what would you choose? I've tried to put what I think is a fairly realistic fee for each.
I personally, if I had to choose, would go for Jagielka and Rodwell. The reason being, Rodwell may turn out to be just a Jermaine Jenas type player. Neat, tidy, but not dominant. Jagielka solely for the reason Moyes seems to have a good eye for a centre-half, and could probably do a half-decent job of replacing him with a cheaper, ****ter but decent and improving alternative and the fact that Jags is 28ish.
I think my final poll answer will be a sitting on the fence, 'mixture of others' answer, cos I'm a poooosy.
