Player Valuation: £950k
I don't know if this has been polled or been a thread recently.

Thought it would provide interesting results.

It looks like again we're in a position that if we want to spend substantial funds we're going to have to raise them.

The way I see it, we have four big saleable assets.

Fellaini - £18m+, £25m, £30m mentioned
Rodwell - £14-18m despite not a great season, £25m mentioned
Jagielka - £20m+ (top-class)
Baines - £18M-26m

We also have the option of selling others, perhaps Heitinga, Billy, Arteta even, even Distin has been mentioned. So my fifth option will be generate £10-18mish selling others.

So if you were going to try and generate funds, what would you choose? I've tried to put what I think is a fairly realistic fee for each.

I personally, if I had to choose, would go for Jagielka and Rodwell. The reason being, Rodwell may turn out to be just a Jermaine Jenas type player. Neat, tidy, but not dominant. Jagielka solely for the reason Moyes seems to have a good eye for a centre-half, and could probably do a half-decent job of replacing him with a cheaper, ****ter but decent and improving alternative and the fact that Jags is 28ish.

I think my final poll answer will be a sitting on the fence, 'mixture of others' answer, cos I'm a poooosy.

Out of the big three, Fellaini, Rodwell, Baines. Rodwell would be my 'preferred' choice, as losing Fellaini or baines would hurt us alot more. Getting Fellaini to sign a new contract, will be one of the biggest challenges of this summer.

Don't want Arteta to be sold, but think Heitinga, Bily, Saha, maybe Distin and hopefully Anichebe might be offloaded to raise some much needed cash for team strengthening.

ive gone for sell no one..

We must keep felli and rodders at all costs...we aint gonna get a better LB than bainesy in a hurry and anyone who considers selling jags is plain stupid..

I just typed a load of stuff but then deleted it cos, with the exception of Rodwell, I don't think we'd be able to replace them without spending much the same amount of money, plus, I don't think there's anyone who's actually willing to spend between 14 and 18 million on Rodwell.

OK, if pushed, I'd sell Arteta for 10-12 million and Johnny for 8
:dodgy:

I think you look at your squad as the 7th best in the premier league last season, then look at your most prized assets and figure out which one did the least to get you to 7th.

Immediately you eliminate Jags and Baines.

Fellaini I think you eliminate, because he hasn't been healthy and I'm not sure he commands the price that is deserved at the moment.

So I think if someone is sold, it's Rodwell or the host of others. I'd go with the others.

Pienaar and Vaughan are already gone. Yak and Yobo seem to be gonners. And a shed load have been offed the bench/ressies. How long before we are flogging the tea lady and the uniforms for the mascots?

I'd sell Bily, Yobo, Yakubu and Anichebe and then try to boost any of that money raised by selling Rodwell. I just don't see where the first four fit into out squad anymore and would be better off moving on. Rodwell I think would do well even moving out on loan to somewhere like Wigan where they try and play football and maybe get some playing time and Premier league experience, I just don't think the demand for him is that much at the moment and his stock isn't as high.

I would sell Bily and Heitinga, that would hopefully raise some decent funds. Last resort sell Rodwell, but I don't want that to happen at all. Most of all I do NOT want to sell Fella or Bainesey.
