If the next manager is 30 games, a preseason and a transfer window in and I'm still not sure exactly what he's trying to accomplish long term I'll have a very similar level of concern.

Especially if it isn't really working.

I just don't agree there. Miles definitely not, I struggle to even say it is better.

We actually look like we are playing as a team and have a game plan. The players are working hard and the defender is solid. That is all a big improvement on last year. We still need much more of an attacking edge which Lampard has acknowledged, given we lost Richarlison and DCL is only just coming back it’s not hugely surprising. He needs time to invest in players that can add that dimension. A continued merry go round of Managers is a guaranteed recipe for relegation.

Can someone point me in the direction of the list of managers who have turned a non-challenging prem club of nearly 30 yrs standing into contenders and trophy winners on little to no money and I'll choose one

Hes rebuilt the defence and made us solid, hes rebuit the midfield, made us solid, attacking wise its not great, but again, 6months into the job 2 out 3 issues resolved, that seems like progress.

Im not sure you realise how little time 6months is in football.

Under Arteta after 6months Arsenal had tanked. Under Plopp Liverpool finished 8th, even Pep, Jose, Carlo.

All these managers had a shaky first 6months.

Its not how you start, its how you finish.

But again, if you really cant see progess, its pointless trying to show you it.

If this *waves arms frantically in the direction of the Fulham second half* is what he's trying to do then yeah I've got major concerns about the viability.

I say I don't see what he's trying to do honestly because I want to believe he's not down the path he intends to follow yet. If he is, well, yikes. It's a very disjointed team. The defense is solid only when all attacking and pressing is sacrificed.
