We have had an enormous amount of success with former players compared to mercenaries.

Surely Koeman would command respect as hes been a world class player, yes but the players fall out with him everywhere.
Ancelotti has a nice guy image but has only dealt with top stars, would this attitude mix when dealing with players who aren't at the very top?

I can see players being impressed and awestruck at first and listen intently to him...but for Everton itself perhaps the cauldron stirring with Unsworth in the chair would galvanise the staff, fans and then this would transmit to the players?

We did Zat, unfortunately football was an easier time then. They’re mercenaries with egos who need to be managed correctly

World class player yes Koeman was then, Ancelotti was a world class player and is still a world class manager.

His record speaks for itself

Now does he want to come and if he does will he be a success is anybody’s guess

Won things?
Played at the top level?
Managed in the prem?
Managed internationally?
Look no further.

The youngsters will always respect the manager. They want game time and know a lack of respect will get them nowhere. The older senior players will respect the manager who has done more.

That man is Ancelotti. But he won’t be coming anywhere near everton any time soon.

For all that you're trying to do here, which is admirable, unless you've been in that locker room you can't, and also have more than marginal knowledge of each of these two managers, you can't make any reasonable assertion one way or the other.
