Things really have opened up. Massive that we still have to play them at home too. Spurs being in Europe still is a huge bonus for us, and let's hope United continue to be poo.

Liverpools luck really has really taken them far. Incredible. How many penalties have Gerrard scored this season? 15?

Bitter? Quite, bit it isn't over yet. We should finish above Spurs, and if Liverpool suddenly drop points, we're back in it. But that won't happen if we don't score alot of points. COYB!

They needed to lose today unfortunately mate. Their CL place is all but cemented.

Arsenal's next games are Spurs a, Chelsea a, City h, Everton a... they could lose all four. And if so, we'll be right on their tails if we keep up our home form.

RS will get third imo. We could, really could, be right on Arsenal's tails...

I like your thinking.

No way they'll lose all 4 though, I'd say the only one that's a nailed on loss is Chelsea away.

Six penalties for Gerrard so far this season.

How many we had, two? I remember one v Stoke, and who was it recently for Baines, oh aye, Swansea. One in the Premier League?

They're mentally shot mate.

All but out of the Champions League, a huge defeat today, they'll go into a huge away game at Tottenham no doubt reeling off a second bumming off Bayern... they're dropping like a lead anchor.

If we can even draw in the FA Cup that's ANOTHER game added to their season (they're knackered already) and another to fit into an already packed schedule. I just hope it's us and not Spurs who may capitalise on their descent.

Shockin', but we're too honest and until that changes we'll always get fewer penalties. No surprise Liverpool have the league's biggest cheat in Suarez and must surely have had the most penalties.

Suarez is a master at 'getting' penalties. He is also a masterful player and the other string to his bow is he is unselfish and sets up his team mates beautifully (look at Sterling and Sturridge prospering)...most dominant individual in the EPL.

Meanwhile, over in Gooners world forum they are having apoplexy. WENGER OUT etc etc. But they sure as hell are aware their PL and CL challenge is over and only the FA Cup can give credibility/meaning to their season. So, BIG game next week as we are kind of in the same boat as regards to defining our season

It's about time refs stopped falling for the attacker kicking the defender in the foot and then going over to claim the free kick or penalty eg Ramires last week, Suarez this.

I didnt think i would be saying this, but i genuinely feel fourth place is right back on. Look at Arsenal's next 3 fixtures. Tottenham and Chelsea away and City at home. Theres every chance that they could be picking up between 0-3 points in them games. Our next two league games are Swansea and Cardiff at home. and with the Palace game in hand of them too we could seriously go into our game with Arsenal on April 6th being in a position to overtake them. Forget Liverpool, Arsenal are there for the taking

pick up a win in the replay vs palace and we're only 8 points behind. Pretty doable if lukaku gets on form.

It'll have to be Arsenal for 4th. They're dropping off fast. We aren't going to get 4th. We had a chance but the games against Spurs, Chelsea, West Brom and the RS lost it for us.

Exactly this, although I think the rs must now be genuine title contenders.

There's now a strong possibility that Arsenal v Swansea will be rearranged for the midweek preceding their game against City.
