I don't do prediction models as they would never have us losing our final home game of 2013 against Sunderland.

Still, I think anything from 65 points would be a very good first season for Martinez, especially considering the lack of net spend in both transfer windows. It won't be enough for 4th, but Kenwright bloody well better recognise the potential and plough in to challenge for the 14/15 season.

....that was Southampton. But I take your point. I had 3 points nailed on for that one. Mind you I had 0 points v Chelsea so my model balances out there. I had a loss at Man U as well. It's been the number of unexpected draws that have me extrapolating 65-68 points

8 points from 4th...the chase is doomed for ano
I think I want Man City to win...bit of a Hobson's choice though!

Win 4th?

We're 8 points off the pace now, with same games played. We've been found out, we're off-form and we're out the race.

Bill, we need 3 or 4 big-money signings this summer. We need killers in our team.

Regarding who we might want to win the title, personally I'd like Arsenal to win it for these reasons:

- they've not been immorally bankrolled like City or Chelsea.
- they have 3 Germans.
- they try to play football in an entertaining way.
- they're not Liverpool

well that's the race for top 4 over.....how sh*te are spurs by the way?......ourselves & united will both finish above spurs, but Liverpool are already safe sadly.....gonna be sickening watching them back in champs league......if only we had brought in a good striker in January, 6 points against spurs & Chelsea and we'd still be in a great position.....

The RS now seven clear if you include GD. Gonna take one massive F up from them now for somebody else to make it. We have to convincingly win our next three and hope their next three games - all tricky on paper - can trip them up.

And it will be a nice consolation for them when we knock them out the fa cup :)

i think liverpool wil get 4th but having said that, there's plenty of opportunity for them to slip up

chelsea, spurs and city at home, southampton and man utd away. whether they get the required amount of points from them games will be fine margins. they could blast through them or they could massively fail (or soewhere inbetween obv)

4th is well gone. 5th is still on although I suspect Man Utd (with their strikers) are the most likely. Goals win matches and we are toothless.

6th should get Europe football (as Man City SHOULD win the League Cup). Last season we concluded with 63 points. This year, I think we will get 65

I think that City and Chelsea have the mental strength to win the league. Mourinho's team only have to go to Anfield out of their rivals. City must visit Old Trafford, the Emirates, Grey Skull and our place.

The Gunners still have some tough games left: Stoke (A), Spurs (A), Chelsea (A), City (H), Everton (A), Hull (A)..

The RS have Southampton (A), United (A), Spurs (H), City (H) and Chelsea (H).

I would expect the top 4 to finish:

1. Chelsea
2. City
3. Liverpool
4. Arsenal

I imagine that Van Persie, Rooney and Mata will hit a purple patch but they're still vulnerable defensively. Their run in isn't too bad: Liverpool (H), City (H), Newcastle (A) and Everton (A). I'll be very pleased if we can finish above them and Spurs.
